FAQs

When will I get my instructions?
As soon as you complete your purchase via PayPal Checkout you will instantly be given a link to download the Zip file containing the PDF Instructions. You will also be sent an email with the link to the file which will remain live for 60 Days, within which time you can download the files as many times as required.
How do I pay?
You can pay securely using PayPay Checkout, either by signing in using your Paypal account or via Credit Card or Debit Card.
Whats Included with the Instructions?
As well as the PDF Instructions, the Zip file also contains a detailed Excel with Part Numbers, colours etc. as well as an XML file which you can use to upload to a BrickLink Wish list to make purchasing the required parts even easier!
What if I have an issue downloading the instructions?
Hopefully you won't have any issues, but in the event you do have problems downloading the Zip file after purchase please contact me via andy@custominstructions.com and I will do my best to respond asap.
What do the instructions look like?
I spend a lot of time ensuring the my instructions are as simple to follow as possible. I create a step by step PDF file similar to what you would expect from any official Lego Set. These are all in full colour and can be printed at high resolution. Each set highlights the parts needed so they are simple to follow no matter your age or skill level.
Do these instructions come with the bricks needed?
No, you are purchasing only the custom instructions. The required bricks can be purchased via Lego Pick a Brick or Bricklink Store.
Where can I purchase the parts needed?
I do my best to ensure no rare parts are used, therefore parts can be purchased via Lego Pick a Brick or Bricklink Store. Or, if your house is like mine, you probably have tubs full of spare Lego parts to use !!
How do I upload the XML file to Bricklink?
Once you have created a free Bricklink account, login and hover over 'want' and click 'Upload' and choose the tab that say 'upload bricklink XML format'. Copy the contents of the notepad file and paste into this box and click upload. This takes no more then a few minutes and will save you quite some time! Please view our detailed Guide to using Bricklink here.
Other Tips
Before purchasing all the pieces necessary, look over the instructions to see what pieces are used and where. Certain pieces are hidden in the model and therefore colours can substituted for other colours they you may have in your personal collection. Also, you may be able to substitute some colours for example from 'light brown' to 'dark brown' if you have these in your collection making it easier and cheaper to build the model.
